Electronics & Accessories
The Phone
I am an iPhone (waterproof) guy and I love that I can use it as a World Phone for a small fee with my phone carrier.
The Phone Charger
I take (2). You never know when a cord will go bad, plus they are small & easy to pack.

The Universal Plug Adapter with USB charging
I take (2) of these and I also take (2) of the cheap European 2-prong plugs as extras. There is no way around this one...you have to have plug adapters to survive (electronically speaking) these days. |
The Camera, Camera Charger, Card Storage
Cameras are a personal choice. I prefer the simplicity of a point & shoot with a large memory card. I can shoot my entire trip & not have to worry about uploading pictures or running out of space on my camera. I also like the size of small point & shoots compared to the bulkiness of larger more professional cameras. Take a look at my trip photos & tell me what you think. |
Headphones - A NECESSITY!
I have always traveled with ear buds, but I have noise cancelling headphones. I travel with 2 sets of headphones and that's okay because they take up very little space. There's three kinds that I will recommend. I am obsessed with my AfterShokz headphones! They are amazing, comfortable, and the sound quality is excellent. They allow you to hear and be aware of your surroundings while still listening to whatever you love! |
The portable charger is a new addition to my list...this will charge my phone up to seven times without having to find a plug. Very good for plane rides, bus rides, or recharging your phone when using it as a camera throughout the day. I love love love this addition to my gear. I cannot recommend it more!

The Tablet &
I added the tablet because when I can afford to purchase one I plan on using this platform to stay in touch with family & friends, keep my blog up to date, & use the web. I have never felt the need to take a tablet until a parent of one of my travelers suggested a "on the road" update blog. I do use a reader so I can read while on the plane, boats, trains, and bus. |
